Education Committee

The Education Committee of the Character Council operates to achieve this purpose by creating methods and discovering opportunities that can utilized to assist school administrators and teachers implement a successful character education program. The goal of the council is to integrate character education into the educational system as a vital part of the curriculum and school culture, not merely as a side program.

The chairperson for the Education Committee is Dr. Earlene Smith. Dr. Smith has served Oklahoma’s educational institutions for years through various local and state-wide governmental positions, as well as by teaching at various schools and higher educational institutions.
