Faith Committee
Because every person's faith and belief system has a governing role
in their lifestyle, churches and other faith organizations can play
an important part in helping a community develop good character. When
Alexis de Tocqueville went in search of what made America great, he
noted that, “Not until I went into the churches of America and
heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret
of her genius and power. America is great because America is good.”
Character is a message that transcends boundaries of race, social
status, and religion.
The Faith Committee of the Character Council exists to encourage and
help all faith-based and religious organizations to successfully model and
encourage good character among their members resulting in a supportive role
of character development for the entire community.
